The Cleveland Indians will soon announce that they intend to change their team name, according to a New York Times report that was confirmed by CBS Sports HQ Baseball Insider Jim Bowden. The franchise has gone by the name Indians since 1915, but sports franchises are increasingly under criticism for using names, logos and uniform design elements that reference Native Americans.
