(The COVID Blog) This story contains a little bit of everything related to The Great Reset, particularly mass delusions, tribal hypocrisy, irony and vaxx zealotry. Retrospect is required to fully understand this story.

Muslims account for about 9% of the population of France. That is the largest concentration of Muslims (about 6 million people) among all European countries. The France National Assembly voted 335-1 to ban burqas and niqabs (face coverings) in public spaces in 2010. The Senate followed suit, with a 246-1 vote.

The law went into effect in 2011. It fines women €150 for wearing the traditional Muslim garments. Violators are also forced into “citizenship education” classes. Men who “force” women to wear hijabs and niqabs face €30,000 fines and jail time. Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark and other European countries have similar bans. The virtue-signaling, global culture police known as “U.S. government” were and are completely silent about these bans. Meanwhile France mandated “COVID masks” for much of 2020 and 2021. Fast forward to 2022.

We just wrote about the LGBTV (for vaccines) religion and all the glitches thereof in the past several weeks. The article, published on December 5, pointed out how Qatar, which is hosting the 2022 World Cup, banned players and spectators from donning homosexual flags in any manner. U.S. sports journalist Grant Wahl tried forcing his religious beliefs on said conservative Muslim country. It didn’t work.

But LGBTV adherents came out (no pun intended) in force in support of Mr. Wahl. The tweet garnered far more engagements than any of his other tweets in 2022. That’s just the beginning of this story.

Who is Grant Wahl?

Mr. Wahl graduated from Princeton University in 1996. He met his wife, Céline Gounder, at Princeton. They married in 2001. Ms. Gounder is an infectious disease physician, and was a member of Joe Biden’s “COVID-19 Advisory Board.”

Mr. Wahl worked for Sports Illustrated for 25 years. He authored “The Chosen One” cover story on NBA star LeBron James in 2002.

Mr. Wahl was also a correspondent for Fox Sports and CBS Sports. He covered six men’s and five women’s World Cups. Mr. Wahl was robbed at gunpoint while covering the 2010 World Cup in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He authored two soccer-themed books, including the 2009 New York Times best-seller The Beckham Experiment. Mr. Wahl left Sports Illustrated in 2020 and started a Substack page.

He sticks his tongue out in every photo that he smiles.

Make of that what you will.

Vaxx zealotry and fearmongering

Mr. Wahl received his first Pfizer mRNA injection on April 7, 2021.

He received his second shot three weeks later, on April 28, 2021. Mr. Wahl reported feeling fatigued after the second shot.

Mr. Wahl also said he “got emotional” and told everyone to get the injections “for your community, for your country, for yourself” after his second shot.

It’s unclear if he received any booster injections. But Mr. Wahl was a die-hard vaxx zealot.

He frequently repeated Fauci-isms.

Mr. Wahl also frequently volunteered his mask and vaxx status without prompting.

He interviewed his vaxx zealot wife for a Substack story that echoed his beliefs in December 2021.
