Joy Reid, the host of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” show, refuses to debate the Manhattan Institute’s Christopher Rufo, despite having discussed him repeatedly on her show in a negative light.
Reid characterized Rufo’s repeated requests to debate her in public as nothing more than “white man demands”, and saying further that those requests were “a weirdly aggressive way to get yourself on TV.”
This, of course, ignores the fact that she was the one who originally brought Rufo’s name before the public of her own accord. In fact, Reid has been among many mainstream media outlets criticizing Rufo recently.
Rufo in turn, asked her to debate so that he could have a chance to defend himself:
