(Not The Bee) It should come as absolutely no shock that the Health and Human Services bureaucratic machine would do everything within its power to keep the pandemic “emergency” going so that it could continue to exercise its “emergency” powers.
Last week, they announced just that, saying the pandemic is not over:
It was a shock, however, that the Senate decided to push back on the perpetual overreach by voting Tuesday to end the perpetual emergency.
I guess the Senate thought 975 days of “15 days to slow the spread” was enough.
From the Wall Street Journal:
Even a dozen Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, voted that the Covid-19 emergency declaration first declared in March 2020 by President Trump had to come to an end.
- Biden has said the pandemic is over.
- Fauci has said that the pandemic is over.
- Everyone except the crazies have gone back to normal. There is no more Covid pandemic.
But…
First off, the House probably won’t take up this bipartisan effort while Pelosi is still in charge.
Joe Biden has also said he’ll veto the effort because of course.
