(PM.) A document posted online that outlined charges against former President Donald Trump by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ office has sent a shockwave across the GOP community, with officials calling for the case to be dismissed citing “misconduct.”
The staunch criticism is due to the fact that the indictment had been posted online before the grand jury had finished voting. The document has since been deleted, but was up for long enough to spark outrage.
Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) slammed the district attorney’s office on Twitter and said, “This is OUTRAGEOUS government conduct and is a very legitimate basis to deem the entire Grand Jury process tainted & corrupted. MOTION TO DISMISS!!!”

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy called for accountability, and explained that the mishap was “downright pathetic.”
“Here we go again: another disastrous Trump indictment. It’s downright pathetic that Fulton County publicly posted the indictment on its website even before the grand jury had finished convening,” Ramaswamy wrote.

“Since the four prosecutions against Trump are using novel & untested legal theories, it’s fair game for him to do the same in defense: immediately file a motion to dismiss for a constitutional due process violation for publicly issuing an indictment before the grand jury had actually signed one. He should make a strong argument on these grounds & it would send a powerful message to the ever-expansive prosecutorial police state,” he added.
“As someone who’s running for President against Trump, I’d volunteer to write the amicus brief to the court myself: prosecutors should not be deciding US presidential elections, and if they’re so overzealous that they commit constitutional violations, then the cases should be thrown out & they should be held accountable,” Ramaswamy explained.
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green demanded for Willis to be removed from office citing alleged illegal practices.
“This is completely against the law!!,” she asserted. “The Fulton County DA Fani Willis MUST BE REMOVED!!!”
