On Dec 15, 2020, just over a month after the presidential election, Rush Limbaugh commented on how then-President-Elect Joe Biden could conceivably be taken out by his fellow Democrats.

“If they decide to take Biden out, they will have ample evidence, and once the decision is made the fake news media will temporarily become hard news media,” commented the since-deceased iconic talk-show host at the time.
“I think we’re seeing enough information on the Bidens now to safely say that Biden will serve at the pleasure of Barack Obama,” stated Limbaugh, meaning that, in his opinion, Obama is pulling the strings behind the scene. He elaborated further:
“If Obama gives the green light to Democrats to take Biden out, there will be ample evidence that Biden has lied about his knowledge his family was selling his name and office with his permission, and if that’s in fact the case, then there’s likely unreported money that will be found.”
This is when Limbaugh mentioned that the media will shift its paradigm from “fake news” to “hard news, if the decision is made that Biden has to step down.” He goes on to mention that, “until that time they will be covering for Biden.”
