(PM.) #TrainWreckKamala trended at the top spot on X after Vice President Kamala Harris‘ disastrous interview on Wednesday evening with Fox News’ Bret Baier. During the course of the discussion, Harris dodged multiple questions surrounding her record at the border and immigration and reportedly had to end the interview early.

The topic was trending at the top spot on X by early Thursday morning, with over 30,000 posts on the platform using the hashtag. Commentator Brenden Dilley posted a clip of Baier asking about the murders of Laken Riley, Rachel Morin, and Jocelyn Nungaray at the hands of illegal immigrants who came in under soft border policies of the Biden-Harris administration. Dilley wrote, “There is no recovering from this answer less than three weeks before an election. #TrainWreckKamala.”

When asked if she would apologize to the families over the policy changes that allowed the suspects in the murders into the country, Harris said that they were “tragic cases” that “should not have occurred,” and proceeded to suggest that Trump was responsible for violence from illegal immigration: “It is also true that if a border security had actually been passed nine months ago, it would be nine months that we would have had more border agents at the border, more support for the folks who are working around the clock trying to hold it all together to ensure that no future harm would occur.”
“This election in 20 days will determine whether we have a president of the United States who actually cares more about fixing a problem, even if it is not to their political advantage in an election,” Harris added. The bill in question from earlier this year would have allowed at least 1.4 million illegal immigrants into the country annually.
The vice president dodged multiple other questions relating to different policies such as taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners as well as detained illegal immigrants, saying, “I will follow the law,” multiple times, but did not say whether these laws needed to be changed to match a policy position.
Multiple users posted using the hashtag of #TrainWreckKamala in response to Baier revealing that the Democratic nominee had people telling her that she needed to stop the interview.
