U.S. Customs and Border Patrol this week scrubbed from its website a press release detailing the agency’s capture of two Yemeni nationals who are on the FBI’s terrorism watch list.
The original press release, which was available as late as about 9 p.m. Monday, announced CBP’s apprehension of “two Yemeni men within the last 2 months that were identified on a terrorism watch list.”
One individual was arrested in late January while attempting to illegally enter the country. The other was apprehended in late March.
In addition to being on terror watch lists, both men were on the U.S. No-Fly List, CBP also said.
