Rogen stars as Santa Claus in the eight-part HBO Max series, but Rogen’s Santa Claus is demonized on the show for being a white male and Sarah Silverman’s vulgar character is trying to upend the supposed North Pole patriarchy by replacing Santa Claus. The show’s contempt for Christmas and for white men is evident from its trailer below. Luckily, audiences are not playing nice.
