A terrifying scene unfolded at Nationals Park on Saturday, enough to suspend a game against the San Diego Padres.
The Nationals confirmed that there had been a shooting outside the stadium’s third base gate, initially cautioning fans to stay inside the stadium before encouraging them to exit outside gates in the outfield.
A shooting has been reported outside of the Third Base Gate at Nationals Park.
Fans are encouraged to exit the ballpark via the CF and RF gates at this time.

Four people were shot and treated for gunshot wounds at the scene and in area hospitals, according to the D.C. Police Department.
