(New York Post) Travis Kelce poked some fun at the NFL’s obsession with his rumored romance with Taylor Swift during his surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live.
The Super Bowl-winning tight arrived at 30 Rockefeller Plaza alongside Swift moments before the show went live as SNL writers quickly squeezed his brief appearance into the live broadcast.
“Travis was a surprise. He and Taylor showed up right before we started,” an insider told The Post.
The “Anti-Hero” singer even graced her presence on camera by introducing the show’s musical guest, Ice Spice.
Kelce appeared in a sketch based on a parody of “Fox NFL Sunday,” where the crew eagerly discussed hoping to see Swift make an appearance at a game over football.
Kenan Thompson appeared as Curt Menefee, James Austin Johnson as Jimmy Johnson, Devon Walker as Michael Strahan, Mikey Day as Howie Long, and Molly Kearney was Terry Bradshaw.
“Let’s get into the games and stop yapping about Taylor and her little boyfriend,” Thompson said.
“Hold on there,” Day said. “No one said boyfriend. Let’s not jump to conclusions here.”
“They’re hanging out. They’re taking their time and I think that’s great,” Johnson added.
The panel then argued about who was the bigger Swift fan as Thompson, serving as the moderator, repeatedly tried to keep their focus on football.
Following a back-and-forth between the analysts, Menefee refers to “Bad Blood,” causing his co-anchors to break into the iconic Swift song.
“You know what, I’m done. When we get back, we’re going to speak to someone who actually wants to talk football,” said Thompson-as-Menefee.
