(PM.) Basketball star LeBron James angered many on Sunday after he was seen walking into the stadium and promptly taking a seat, all while the national anthem played at the University of Southern California vs. Long Beach State basketball game.

Users across X reacted to LeBron’s actions, with many characterizing his conduct as “disrespectful” and others saying he is on “China’s payroll.”
This isn’t the first time that James has disrespected the anthem. During the “summer of love” in 2020 when BLM and Antifa riots rocked the country, James knelt along with other players while the anthem played. He saluted other players, such as football player Colin Kaepernick, for protesting during the national anthem as well. As James knelt, he wore a Black Lives Matter t-shirt.
