Westwood One has confirmed that beginning May 24, conservative commentator Dan Bongino will be moving into the noon-3p (EST) weekday time slot, which was held by Rush Limbaugh for decades in an effort to pick up former Limbaugh affiliates. The new schedule will be starting May 24. Limbaugh passed away in February at 70 after battling Stage IV lung cancer.
Bongino’s podcast, which is the second-most listened-to conservative show in the country, is distributed via Westwood One and has been offered to radio stations and affiliates.
According to Outkick, the deal is not signed but it expected to be completed soon.
The Dan Bongino Show will broadcast in markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, and Washington, DC, according to a press release.
