On Sunday June 18th, OceanGates Titan submarine was reported missing after an underwater tourist expedition in the Atlantic Ocean to see the Titanic wreckage. Five people including the company’s CEO were reported aboard.
Since then, there have been a variety of reports surrounding the recovery efforts, from the initial search for the sub to the US Navy finding a ‘debris field’ at the bottom of the ocean. Finally, experts confirmed that the debris field belonged to the submarine, which they believed to have imploded, instantly killing everyone on board.
