North Carolina parents are outraged after a rival high school held up a “privileged” sign during a football game. Melissa Swanson, whose child attends Charlotte Catholic High School, said the sign was directed at “rich, White” families.
Butler High School cheerleaders held up the sign, which read “Sniff, sniff. You smell that? Privilege,” surrounded by dollar signs, as the football players ran through it and onto the field.
