(Daily Caller) Sacramento City College (SCC) launched an investigation into a series of emails sent by math professor Robert Crawford in which he opposed child sex changes, the school’s Public Information Office (PIO) announced.
Crawford sent the email on Dec. 3 to SCC faculty and adjunct faculty in response to a Dec. 1 email which promoted an Ethics Symposium titled “The Ethics of Providing Healthcare” at Sacramento State University, according to a file obtained by the Davis Vanguard. Crawford wrote that kids should be able to “figure out who they are without being bullied into radical surgeries and hormone blockers.”
“We should stand against castrating boys and we should imprison any doctor who cuts off healthy girls breasts,” Crawford reportedly wrote. “This is an evil that we should all be against. No child fantasies about being the opposite sex/gender should be entertained.”
He continued, writing “for Christs sake, stop this madness.”
“Sacramento City College and the Los Rios Community College District take any accusations of discrimination or harassment very seriously,” Kaitlyn Collignon, Communication and Public Information Officer at SCC, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “We are beginning a full investigation into the incident and communications in question, and will take all appropriate steps to protect the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff.”
Crawford’s email prompted a response from an unnamed faculty member who claimed that “there are some young people who DO know they were born in the wrong body and know who they are and who they want to be,” according to the the Daily Vanguard. Crawford then asked “how they know they are really the opposite gender” and claimed that kids have “never had the body of the opposite gender so how do they know this?”
