JB Pritzker, the esteemed governor of Illinois, just signed a bill that would allow “non-citizens” (aka illegal aliens) to be employed as police officers.
Yes, foreign law breakers are now going to be allowed to become Illinois law enforcement.

Surely the law doesn’t mean EXACTLY what it says, right?
I googled it and turned to the FaCt-ChEcKeRs at Newsweek, the first result, to help get to the bottom of this situation. They told me the claim that illegal aliens can become police officers in Illinois “needs context.”
I should have guessed all the right-wingers were lying, let’s check out the context that Newsweek says this is missing.
