(PM.) The House Oversight Committee has uncovered from a whistleblower confirmed links between Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
This comes as Walz has faced greater scrutiny over his connection to China and sympathies for the country’s socialist policies. Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) wrote in a letter to the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that as a part of the committee’s wider effort to conduct a government-wide investigation related to the CCP, “The Committee has recently received whistleblower disclosures informing the Committee of serious concern among Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel regarding a longstanding connection between the CCP and Minnesota Governor Timothy James Walz.”
