Popular alternative video platform Rumble is offering help to GiveSendGo, a crowdfunding alternative reportedly struggling with server problems due to the massively popular Freedom Convoy fundraiser.
The platform took on the mega viral fundraiser after GoFundMe shut down the original, but has struggled to handle the traffic on the site. Furthermore, there is concern the crowdfunding site is experiencing a DDoS attack.
A denial-of-service attack is a cyber-attack in which the perpetrator seeks to make a network resource unavailable to its intended users by disrupting services of a host connected to a network. In response, Rumble has extended an olive branch to assist GiveSendGo.
“We are hearing, but have not validated, that GiveSendGo is experiencing server issues and a possible denial of service attack,” Rumble said in a tweet. “If true, Rumble would be happy to help in anyway we can. We have equipment and engineers on standby, please feel free to reach out.”
