Vice President Kamala Harris was absent from high-level security talks between top U.S. and Mexican officials Friday who convened to discuss a bilateral security framework.
Harris, who was tapped by the Biden administration to lead talks with Mexico about the border, traveled to New Jersey instead where she visited a child care center.
While there she pitched her support for part of President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better agenda that includes two years of universal preschool and subsidies to limit how much families must pay in child care costs.
