Rep. Liz Cheney’s days as the No. 3 House Republican may be numbered, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said Wednesday.
Jordan, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, told “Fox News Primetime” that “the votes are there” to remove Cheney as House Republican Conference chair and added that such a vote “will happen, most likely, next Wednesday.”
Cheney survived a vote to remove her from the leadership back in February.
But lately, the Wyoming Republican has drawn the ire of her colleagues over her continued denunciations of former President Donald Trump’s insistence that the 2020 election was stolen by Democrats. Cheney was one of ten House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump back in January in connection with the deadly riot at the US Capitol Jan. 6.
