U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) is urging Vice President Kamala Harris to invoke the 25th amendment, essentially asking her to begin formal proceedings to remove President Joe Biden from office.
This follows Biden’s role in the catastrophic withdrawal of American troops in Afghanistan.
Cawthorn states in his letter that ‘our nation is at a crisis point,’ pointing to rising inflation, the crisis at our southern border, and global threats from the likes of China.
In a Fox News interview, he stated “I cannot sit idly by and watch the nation that I love spiral into death and devastation because our leader cannot discharge his duties,” he said. “There is no time to wait, the time for action is now.”
