Witness Steve Adams said four women were “picking the place dry” at a San Francisco, California CVS store.
When he asked store employees if they were going to call police, “they just shrugged.”
Millions of dollars worth of merchandise has been stolen from San Francisco retailers recently with many of the thefts happening in broad daylight.
California Retail Association President Rachel Michelin stated that the funds from the stolen items are ultimately being used by crime syndicates.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is facing a recall vote over his liberal policies, signed a bill last week to create crime task forces around the state, but these task forces do nothing to prevent organized theft rings from continuing to rob businesses.
