Artist Leaves ‘Woke’ DC Comics After Superman Slogan Change – ‘I’m Tired Of Them Ruining These Characters’

Gabe Eltaeb, a colorist working on DC Comics’s “Son of Kal-El” series, had announced on Tuesday that he will not be renewing his contract with the comics giant.

Eltaeb said that the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back was when DC Comics brass removed “the American way” from Superman’s slogan:

 

“What really pissed me off was saying truth, justice, and a better world. F*ck that; it was ‘truth, justice, and the American way.'”
