Multiple people were killed and wounded Wednesday and the gunman was “down” after a shooting rampage at a light rail yard in San Jose, California, authorities said.
Police spokesman Russell Davis said the gumman was dead and that the victims included employees of the rail yard.
“I can’t confirm the exact number of injuries and fatalities, but I will tell you that they are multiple injuries and multiple fatalities in this case,” Davis said.
Mayor Sam Liccardo said several people were being treated for injuries and that the situation was still being assessed.
