Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) claimed on CNN without evidence Saturday that the Capitol Hill riot on Jan 6 was “organized” by the Trump campaign.
In an appearance on CNN, the California congresswoman lambasted the GOP’s opposition to the Jan. 6 commission that was tapped to investigate those involved in the federal breach. “Where did the money come from to send busloads of people in? Who supported them in all of this. Where was the organizing taking place?” she questioned on-air.
Waters then said to CNN anchor Jim Acosta that she was told “there was organizing taking place right in the Trump campaign.”
