Project Veritas just released a 2020 video of AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot, on a company-wide Zoom call discussing the complications of COVID-19 vaccines with the immunocompromised.
His statements contradict the guidance given the public by health agencies and organizations like the World Health Organization.
Soriot said ‘Like if you have an immune disease, lupus, or some other immune condition, you cannot – or multiple sclerosis, you can’t be vaccinated. So, there are millions of people in the world that will need a protection that cannot be coming from a vaccine. So, the longer antibody has enormous potential.’
The ‘longer antibody’ Soriot refers to is the monoclonal antibody treatments that were found to be highly effective in the early days of the pandemic, resulting in many states using it as a front-line defense. However, the federal government fought those treatment and instead pushed for the vaccine.
In a March 16, 2022 health advisory, the World Health Organization stated the opposite of what Soriot said, reasserting its stance that the AstraZeneca vaccine was safe for immunocompromised individuals. The advisory specifically stated ‘It should be noted that the full two dose regimen of this vaccine is believed to be more protective against variants of concern than a single dose alone.’ It further recommended that ‘severe and moderately immunocompromised’ persons should be offered an additional dose of vaccine.
