In 1983, Dr. Anthony Fauci gave an interview about the AIDS virus in which he claimed that casual contact (a hug or handshake) could cause it to pass between friends and family members – He stated that it can be passed from “Just the ordinary close contact that one sees in normal interpersonal relationships.
Dr. Fauci went on to say that “It seems that as every month, or even week, goes by, we learn a little bit more about how it can go out of its original epidemiological constraints.”
We now know all of this to be completely untrue, and much of what he says today about the coronavirus mirrors exactly what he said then about AIDS.
