CBS’s Inside Edition went undercover and discovered that most restaurants in New York City are not enforcing the city’s vaccine passport mandate, a law implement in late August by Mayor Bill De Blasio.
Reporters found that 11 out of 15 restaurants did not comply with the law by asking for proof of vaccination and an ID.
Fines for non-compliance are set at $1,000 for the first violation, increasing to $2,000 for the second violation and $5,000 fine for successive violations.
Polls that while many support vaccine passports, implementing and enforcing them is a difficult proposition.
