(Big League Politics) On February 14, 2023, Nikki Haley, former South Carolina Governor and United States Ambassador to the United Nations, announced her decision to run for the presidency in the 2024 election cycle.
A consummate neoconservative and one of the Republican establishment’s pro-diversity darlings, Haley’s announcement was met with strong opposition from national populists.
United to Change, a nationalist conservative website that creates petitions to hold politicians accountable, recently launched a #NeverNikki petition drive to oppose her candidacy for the Republican nomination in 2024.
In the petition, the United to Change claimed that “Nikki Haley pretends to be a conservative” and she is “most woke Republican on the national level.” On top of that the petition several unsavory aspects about Haley’s track record as a politician and public figure:
- As Governor of South Carolina, in 2016 Nikki Haley KILLED legislation that banned biological males from using the girl’s bathroom
- Nikki Haley claimed immigrants are more patriotic than Americans
- Nikki Haley endorsed the violent Black Lives Matter riots during the summer of 2020 that resulted in dozens of lost lives and hundreds of millions of dollars in destroyed property
- Nikki Haley said George Floyd’s death “needs to be painful for everyone”
- Nikki Haley attacked Donald Trump over the events on January 6 — writing in her book that “the President’s words had been hurtful and dangerous
- Nikki Haley voted for massive tax hikes as a member of the Legislature and crafted one of the largest tax increases in state history as Governor
- Nikki Haley voiced support for race hoaxer and pro-BLM NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace after he lied about someone hanging a noose on the garage door for his car
- Nikki Haley vowed on camera not to run for President in 2024 if Donald Trump entered the race.
