You might have heard about a new cosmetic procedure called threading, a treatment for all skin types and all ages.
Some call it a facelift without the downtime, but lately, patients have been coming in droves for one service in particular.
“I feel like it is the way the industry is going for a couple of reasons. One, I feel like patients are looking for a more natural result, and with PDO threads, you get a nice natural lift and tightening without having to put a lot of volume in the face; you can keep your facial structure. We’re just trying to tighten those areas that have the laxity,” said Dr. Christie Lehr-Hawkins with Fig Medical Spa, who has more than 20 years of experience.
Also known as the lunchtime facial, it’s a procedure that uses dissolvable sutures beneath the skin to lift and tighten.
